This privacy policy governs your use of the software application FONT ("Application") for Android mobile devices. The Application tracks aircraft position, velocity and altitude based on the information received from a pilot's smartphone. By using the Application, you are consenting to collection and processing of your data in accordance with this policy.
Automatically Collected User Sensitive Information
The Application obtain the following sensitive information from your phone
This information is used to uniquely identify the flight records associated with you as a pilot in cloud database. Since the Application does not require registration the device id combined with your phone number is used as user id to login to your data. This information is collected in the time of the App starts and passed to the cloud along with any new recorded flight.
In addition to this the Application obtains the type of mobile device and android operating system version installed on your smartphone. This information is used to troubleshoot any potential application issues specific to your Android device.
User Provided Information
The Application obtains and stores locally and remotely the N number of aircrafts you provide. Aircraft registration is optional. However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to use some of the features offered by the Application unless you register your aircraft.
Other type of information collected
The Application collect precise real time geolocation information of the device in the flight time and transmits it to a cloud server.
The data collected from your smartphone is passed over mobile network and stored on Microsoft Azure cloud database. We will retain the geolocation data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. You have full access to your data over flightontrack.com site and can export or delete any part of your data including the sensitive information listed above at any point of time. To access your data on the site you have to provide user id and password autogenerated for you. You can request a password reset at any time over the Application.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain.
Unless marked as "Public" your records are not disclosed. When marked "Public" the flight geolocation information along with your pilot callsign and aircraft information flown is disclosed publicly.
We do not share currently any data with any third party which have an independent use of the information. We may share in future but not for marketing purposes. If we do it this privacy policy will be changed and you will be notified to get your consent.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application and removing the recorded information over flightontrack.com site.
This Privacy Policy may be updated for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on flightontrack.com site and informing you by text message. You can check the history of this policy by clicking here.
